Sarah Bryan Design is a studio based in Berkhamsted, England, within the Chilterns natural landscape. After earning a degree in Interior Architecture, Sarah embarked on a vibrant 15-year journey in the commercial interior design sector. Throughout this period, she sought a hands-on medium that would allow her to step away from the screen and engage in tangible creativity. In 2015, she began honing her ceramic skills through evening and weekend courses, ultimately taking the bold step in 2023 to embrace ceramics as her full-time artistic vocation.

Sarah’s ceramic practice is deeply rooted in the exploration and transformation of discarded materials. She seeks to challenge the conventional boundaries of ceramic artistry by integrating wasted materials, colour and texture that would otherwise be relegated to landfill.

Her work is an inquiry into the potential of these materials, incorporated across four distinct ceramic firing methods: raku, raku saggar, electric saggar, and electric. She actively seeks partnerships with those who share a passion for sustainability and innovation, aiming to expand her projects through collaborative installations and ceramic creations.
