RHS CHELSEA FLOWER SHOW
CERAMIC WISHING TAGS
A commission to provide x300 ceramic wishing tags, which capture messages from celebrities and members of the Woodland Trust, all focused on raising awareness about the vital significance of our ancient woodlands in the UK and their alarming decline.
Over the course of six months, I gathered discarded materials from Penn Wood and local plant nurseries. Incorporating these treasures into every stage of the clay-making process through raku, saggar, and electric firing techniques added layers of sustainable meaning to the installation.
The finished wishing tags swayed and chimed gently in the wind, suspended from the "Wishing Tree" in the Forgotten Forests Garden. They served as a poignant reminder, inviting visitors to reflect on our Forgotten Forests and encouraging connections with the natural world around us.
RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026 awards:
Twice Award-Winning: RHS Gold Medal and Best in Show
I was also personally featured by the RHS in the Top 10 RHS Artisans at the Chelsea Flower Show 2026
