This installation serves as both an exhibit and an experiment, showcasing 300 individual ceramic pieces that encapsulate Sarah’s findings across a year of exploration.
Each artefact stands as a testament to the alchemy of clay and waste, with the hues smoked into the clay surface through a dynamic interplay of fire and material. The reverse of each piece is marked with a unique cuneiform code, an ancient symbolic representation of the technical journey it has undergone, serving as her maker's mark and technical signature.
The final compilation displays a pixelated journey of colour and texture; an inquiry into the potential use discarded materials that would otherwise be relegated to landfill.
Size: approx. 3mW x 1.2mH
