Sculptural centre-piece planter. This vibrant piece, one of two, has a clean finish and fluted edge that let the glazes glide over the clay surface. It includes finely ground, fired oyster shells that are dusted onto the wet glaze surface before firing.
Reactive glazes, sponsored by Mayco, interact with traces of the powdered oyster shells to provide a rich, deep green tone and a sensation of fluidity. Waste oyster shells provided by the Wright Bros. restaurants in London.
